2006 All-Americans Trip to Shriners Hospital   PDF  Print  E-mail

After practice and lunch on Thursday, just before the pre-game meal, some of the 2006 All-American Bowl Game All-American Players visited the Shreveport Shriners Hospital for Children. Each player presented a child with a Gold Medallion signifying the playing of the Second Annual All-American Bowl Game Classic and the donation of a portion of the Bowl Game Receipts to these Children of The Shreveport Shriners Hospital. Another portion of the gate receipts was to be given to the Katrina Children of St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to help in their continued research.

Dear Mr. Emfinger,

I just wanted to express my appreciation to you again for bringing members of your All-Star game to Shriners Hospitals for Children in Shreveport yesterday. The players got quite a few smiles out of our kids, and were great interacting with everyone here. Attached are a few photos taken of the players…just let me know if you have any trouble with the files. Also, please let me know if you might have any of the medallions left over after yesterday…we had a few people requesting them after you left! (about 4 or so).

Again, thanks for taking the time to visit our kids, and of course you and your players are welcome back anytime.  Congratulations on a successful game with some nice media coverage (link to the Shreveport Times article below).  Just let me know if I can ever be of assistance to you in the future!

Best regards,

Christian

2006 AABG Players #33 DT Lamarr Houston and #71 OT Trent Williams have recorded some incredible Super Combine feats in preparation for the 2010 NFL Draft.
